do you have ur table set all the time?
i always see in magazine or tv shows that the place settings r always put out even when its not dinner--i see this plate set that i LOVE cause it goes with my dining room sooo well BUT would it matter really--its not like i keep them out all the time?

i keep my dining room set all the time. just two place setting at each head of the table but with also with a table cloth and runner. it just is so homey and pretty to me. plus it gives me a better way to display my china!

I don't and we never eat on the table unless we have company. We always eat on the coffee table so we can watch TV.

No, I don't. I have a pretty centerpiece on my table, though. MY cats would just sneak up there in the middle of the day and sit on the plates, anyway

I agree, it does look very elegant and homey at the same time! However, this is gross , but that is where our cat eats - we can't leave the food on the floor, then the dog would eat it. What we deal with for the love of the little creatures !!!

I just want to make sure I read this right....your cats eat "on your table"? I couldnt handle that.
My table is set all the time and like someone else mentioned, we like to eat in the family room watching tv. When company comes we eat at the table.
