Feeling the baby move

I've been feeling the baby move a bit for several weeks now, and the other night, I felt 3 really strong "kicks". It was like BOOM...BOOM...BOOM on my left side. It really scared me at first, and I haven't felt it since, but now I can't wait until it happens again.

DH is dying to be able to feel the baby, he just keeps waiting patiently. I was reading the other post about when other DHs felt the baby move, and I just have one question. How do you get the baby to move exactly when and where DH is feeling? The movements I feel are unpredictable as far as time and location. Will this get more regular as more and more weeks pass?

I found the best way to "make" the baby move is to eat or drink something and a few minutes later he/she will start moving a bit. As for trying to get the baby to move where you want- I havent' mastered that one yet. I am 32 weeks along and the amount and intensity of the moves has increased dramatically, especially now you can see your stomach move when the baby does. I used to have my DH put both hands over my belly and wait for it to move. NOw that the baby doesn't have much room in there I can tell where the kicks will be (by my ribs).

Both my kids would actually move towards his hand. I think it was because his hands were so warm.

I read they tend to kick more when you're at rest (sitting or nighttime) because they're not being rocked to sleep by you moving around. Maddie used to kick my book on the train to the point where my seatmate noticed it.

They will happen much more often that he'll have plenty of chances when you're laying down at night.

My belly looks like alien as soon as I lay on the couch to watch television, and I am relaxed...
