Gas Stoves - Pilot light's on, but the stove won't heat up...

Is there anything we can do to remedy this. We have a really yummy pizza that wants to be cooked Chat Icon

Or are we sol until we can get it fixed?

Are your burners cloged? Did you clean the stove top receintly? If you did, they might be clogged. If NOT, then DO NOT TRY THIS. Carefully take a long taper candle so you do not burn your fingers and light it AWAY from the stove. Keep all the burners off. Light one burner and CAREFULLY put the flame near the burner to unclog the burner. If it smells like a gas leak, get out of the house immediately and call the fire department from your cell phone.

ETA: Do you mean your stove or your oven? The above was for the stovetop only.

just the oven, the burners work.

We ended up getting take out.

But i so wanted my pizza :(

I have this problem occasionally, too. Sometimes it just doesn't light in the oven. I have to turn off the oven and wait a little and then try again. I think you light it with a match underneath where the broiler pan is.
