Girls who had c-sections....

Did you have problems with your stomache after you came home from the hospital? My stomache has been a mess since I got home last week. Nothing I eat agrees with me, and I was wondering if it had to do with surgery. I'm drinking a ton of water, but eating is just not sitting well with me these days.

Re: Girls who had c-sections....

I found my appetite gone. I could only eat a kids size portion of anything. I ate things like salad & fruit. It will get back on track after a while

Hmmmnnnn....I never thought of this. I had a previous c/s but never noticed a change then. Its been a month since I had my son and I have zero appetite. I cant name a single thing that appeals to me at any given time. Its very strange. Im curious about other answers

Re: Girls who had c-sections....

YES! I had a very 'uncomfortable' feeling for a month or so. I attributed it to my insides being taken out and thrown back in, figuring things were all switched around and not the way they had been for 31 years. ;)

Re: Girls who had c-sections....

Ok, I'm still interested to hear what everyone else has to say, but thank you to everyone who answered so far. I don't feel sick, I just have NO appetite, then when I DO eat, it just doesn't sit well at all. I'm sure it does have to do with everything being jumbled around down there. I tend to forget that a c-section is actually abdominal surgery.

I dont remember specifically either Chat Icon I just know that Ive never had a problem eating Chat Icon Chat Icon

and I do remember having Greek takeout one of the first few days home (And its sounding like a good idea for this time around too Chat Icon )

Maybe its just sunconsciously your trying to be extra careful and maybe the pain of the scar healing ?

Yes I felt the same way. I remember I was terrified of eating anything gassy because everything felt so weird and "airy" in there.

Re: Girls who had c-sections....

I felt this way as well. Maybe TMI, but I would not eat because I was constipated and in pain from that. I have read that the weird stomach stuff is from the pain killers and epidural/spinal meds that are in your system. As the leave the body it can cause stomach issues. Give it a week or two, you will be back to normal then.

On the upside of having no appetite, I'm sure it has helped with my recent discovery of my waistlineChat Icon
