Going to re tomorrow for a beta..is that all they do??
I got my bfp this past Thursday. I called my re(Dr. Saketos) and they told me to come in tomorrow for a beta test. Do you think they will examine me or give me a sonogram? I dont know if re's usually do that or not? Does anyone know the protocol? TIA

You go for a beta and progesterone test, return in 48 hours for another to confirm the beta doubled. Then when they estimate the beta to be about 2500 they ask you to return for your first u/s. Which is usually about the 5th week to confirm a uterine pg,...then,...6th/7th week u/s again for heartbeat...then they release you.
I conceived naturally and that was what I was instructed to do , it has nothing to do with IUIs or IVF, that's just pregnancy protocol.

Re: Going to re tomorrow for a beta..is that all they do??
I went to Dr. Chu at NSHR 2 weeks after my IUI and she did a urine test to confirm and when that came back positive she did an internal sono to make sure the uterine lining was thick. Then she did my beta test (blood) and I had that repeated once a week for 2 weeks and then I went in for another sono to see if everything was ok. She confirmed last week that I was 6 weeks and I go back today for the second sono (7 weeks)
