I just started WW at work...(advice needed)

My company is sponsoring a WW class at our office & so far I am really confused as to which WW plan I should follow. At first glance I like the *Core* plan, because I need to cut a whole bunch of foods out of my diet (I was recently diagnosed with GERD), but the *Points* is what seems to get the best results for everyone.

Any thoughts or advice? Anyone do Core vs. Points?

TIA

I personally do Flex... For me I really wanted to be in control and therefore making myself more accountable of what I eat. It just works better for me than choosing from a list of approved foods.

I'm not very familar with GERD, but if there are diet restrictions then core might really work for you. With the a weekly 35 points, you can splurge on items not on the list.

I believe you can alternate between the plans to see what works best for you and your lifestyle.

You can alternate week to week, they just don't recommend that you switch in the middle of the week. So you can start on Core, and if you find that is not really working, after your next weigh in, you can switch to the other plan.

Some people in my meetings say they like Core, but if they know they will be eating out a lot one week, or on vacation, etc. they will do Flex because it is easier when you are not in your own kitchen. I like Flex, because I am afraid I will let the portions sizes get too big on core. It is a personal preference and as long as you follow the program as they recommend, you should lose weight on either one.

What is GERD? Does that have to do with watching carbs or sugar? If that's the case, you may be better off on core.

I just joined WW at work too! I am opting for the points (flex)...More people in my group seem to have had success with flex, plus I like being able to eat different foods in moderation without going into the extra points.

I personally like the flex points. I am the type of person that needs to know exactly how many points I can have. It helps me figure out what I am going to eat then.
