Have you been to this website?

Parents of Food Allergic Kids

I think you will find it very helpful. I was using it when I was on a restricted BFing diet.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried Trader Joe's? Or the organic section at the supermarket?

My twin said to go the pasta section in any health food store there will be egg-free noodles, egg-free donuts, etc. You should call the 800 number to see about their facilities though.

No there is a free membership. Some people choose to pay. I never did. I did the free version. You can access the message boards and recipes and such for free.

My grandmother makes a pasta with just water, flour and a little bit of salt to give it some taste. She would role it out super thin and then boil it and it was done once it rose. She would put meat sauce on top but I am sure you coudl try it with butter or a tomato sauce.

I will ask my brothers when I go home. They are vegans, eat pasta and stay miles away from any egg products or factories that use eggs.

Try Dr. B Well in Plainview. They have all types of things, so I think they may be a good option. I'd call first, though.

Gnocci have a potatoe base to it, this is strickly water and flour. Gnocci takes a few times to get the consistancy ritght and is time consuming. If you want to try it again i recommend using idaho patotes and start with only one. Rice the patote once it is done cooking and add some olive oil and flour. You want to add a little flour at a time and the end result of dough should not stick to your hands. If it is sticky it will be real soft when you end up cooking it and stick to the roof of your mouth. If you over work the dough and add to much flour it will be tougher dough and you will also notice that when you cook it and eat it so the consistency is very important, basically the minute you notice that the dough is not sticking to yours hands stop working it. When it is time to cook them only cook a few in a pot at a time because that also affects the texture the gnocci. They are down the minute they rise.
