Re: Kitchen decor question

I Love this thread. I have an issue with this because the top of our cabinets dip down a few inches so I feel like anything I put up there looks silly bc of the dip. What other ideas do you girls have - maybe one will work for me!Chat Icon

Ours kind of dip down too a little bit. The top of the cabinet is a few inches below the front of the cabinet (probably not explaining it right!)

We have th same little dip. You just have to try to prop things up when you put them on top of your cabinet.

Re: Kitchen decor question

old phone books usually work great. my cabs now don't have room on top, but in my townhouse they did. I don't have pics, but I used old phone books to help make everything sit better. I changed the decor seasonally, I was way more into cluttery decor thenChat Icon but it used cookie jars, baskets, plates, faux greenery & other stuff.

Re: Kitchen decor question

My kitchen is a dark red color. So for christmas a friend of ours got us decorative plates, mugs, bowls, platters, square serving plates, water pitcher and a untensil holder in a very viberant colors (blacks, yellows, reds) they had Chili peppers and margaritta designs on them. When I saw them my eyes bugged b/c they were so not me but I got Plate/ book holders from LNT and they look great.

I have seen similiar things in TJ Maxx and Home Goods they are pretty inexpensive too..

Re: Kitchen decor question

Thanks Kim! I love my kitchen and practically live there!

When we looked at the house, the agent knew just what she was doing, she brought us in through the back of the house directly into the kitchen. I was sold! Then when DH saw the basement, he was sold!
