Moms of 6-8 week olds

I have the hardest time getting my son Hayden to sleep at night. Last night he went in at 11pm, but usually he's up until 1am. Then he's up every 2-4 hours.

do you have a bedtime routine? what do you do? what time do you put your little one to sleep?

Re: Moms of 6-8 week olds

My baby is six months old, but when he was about 12 weeks we started a bedtime routine, which I think totally works! So he would have a bath, then get a bottle/feed, then its bed. I would suggest trying this in a darkened room with something that you only use at nighttime, so for instance, for us, we have a bedtime light that spins and we use a white noise machine, so these only go on when its bedtime.

If the baby doesn't go right to sleep, thats fine. but try this routine everynight at the same time and eventually it will work.

I don't t know where you would get one in the states..they are by a company called Trousselier and they cost around $60. Try googling them!

Re: Moms of 6-8 week olds

I just thought that I would get a head start on routines before going back to work in Sept.

But I hear you about the gas, sometimes it wakes him up out of his sleep.
