Nursing Moms ?
For Mom's who or have nursed ?
What kind of breast pump do you recommend? What storage system for the breast milk did you use?
I am going to breast feed, this is my 1st baby and thininking of trying a new system out by Playtex.
Embrace breast pump by Playtex and the One Step Storage Kit by Playtex.
Anyone use any of these products, feedback appreciated.
TIA Anne

I dont have any experience with those products. I used the Medela Pump in Style Advanced and I found the Lanolish ziplock storage bags to be the easiest to use. I needed a good double electric pump since I went back to work FT at 3 months. The PIS has worked out great for me!

Re: Nursing Moms ?
I use the medela pump - I really like it. It's pricey - but worth it!
I always keep enough breast milk in the fridge for one or two feedings (I store it in a bottle) since my family is around a lot and they like to feed her. Even when they are not around I give her one bottle a day to give my nipples a little bit of a rest.
I freeze the rest - I use the gerber storage bags, my baby nurse said they were the best - so I went on her word.

Re: Nursing Moms ?
I use the medela Pump in Style pump. I tried the hospital one and it didn't even compaire to the PIS -- the hospital one just HURT and the PIS doesn't hurt at all. I am pumping for ALL of emily's feedings because she refuses to breast feed and I'm just so glad that I went with this pump. I haven't tired any others except for the hospital one but I am just so pleased with the PIS that I wouldn't want to try any others!!
As for storage I haven't gotten to the point of long term storage yet -- but the PIS comes with 4 storage bottles and I use them to keep my milk in the fridge since it gets used that day, usually within a few hours. I also have the medela freezer bags but haven't tried them out yet.
