OB/GYN South Shore...Female please

Hi ladies, although I'm not at the point TTC YET...will be come August. I just found out at my GYN that she no longer does OB work. Being that we moved & I'm an hour from her, I think I'm better off just looking for a new dr. now.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good dr. on the South Shore, female preferred.

I know many girls go to South Bay, yet the wait time has me concerned.

If you recommend a dr., pls. list the hospital they are affiliated with.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Dr. Polcino use to be with South Bay and when he left my family followed! The last time I saw him he had a small office in Babylon set up but he was suppose to be moving to N. Babylon.

I used to go to Dr. Amirata at South Bay OB/GYN in West Islip. She did a few procedures for me and was quite nice. I think she's affliated with South Shore Hospital

I have now switched to Dr. Ketcham at Comprehensive OB/GYN, also in West Islip. He's excellent. The Dr.'s at the practice are the heads of obstetrics at Good Sam.

I am currenlty with Dr. Bezalel as well. Only seen her 3 times, switched to her. Do you like her, and have you been with her a while?

I was a little disappointed with the office. They got some stuff mixed up a few times, and she sent me for some testing on the wrong cycle day. And while she seems thorough and nice, Im not "feeling" a real concern. Am I wrong?
