Older people and technology (funny work story)
Okay so I was testing some video conferencing equipment today.
In case anyone doesn't know how VC works, there's a TV w/a camera on both (or multiple) ends. So I see you, you see me, and we can talk.
So I dialed into what was supposed to be an empty boardroom in another building. I'm on my merry way, testing away. When into the empty boardroom walks in poor little old unsuspecting man.
The man sees me on the TV and is surprised. He walks up to the TV in amazement just staring, wondering why I'm on TV and how the TV just turned itself on. So I wave to him. He looks baffled. I wave again. (Now at this point he has audio and I don't) He points to himself as if to say "who me?" and I say "yeah, you!"
OMG you should have SEEN the look on his face!!! It was utterly priceless!! I was afraid he was going to keel over and have a heart attack right there. Thank god he didn't but it was friggin hilarious!!
Then he kept trying to talk to me since he could hear me but didn't know how to unmute the mic on his end so I couldn't hear a thing he was saying. I kind of read his lips a little and I could tell he was saying things like "You can see me?"
Aww...old people!
