Pets acting strange...What do you think it is? LONG
Does your pet ever act like this? What do you think it is? It totally freaked me out this morning!!!
As soon as my kitty hears my keys she's knows I'm about to leave and sits on her mat and waits for a treat (yes she's spoiled!!)
Well this morning I pick up my keys and she slowly makes her way into the kitchen (which is strange to begin with - she usually runs!!) I pour her treats on her mat and she totally ignores them. Instead she keeps looking out of the kitchen towards the front door. She's just staring - her ears go back and she starts walking very slowly towards the hallway - I can't tell what she's looking at. I don't see anything. I keep asking her if she wants her treats but she's focused on something. (She generally responds to the word "treats")
Anyway she goes through the kitchen doorway and starts looking down the hall towards the bedrooms. She's crouched down low and is walking very slow and caustiously. She keeps looking back to see if I'm following her (At this point I'm totally freaked out) She stops at the guest room and just sits in the doorway staring. Won't move, meow nothing. Still I say "treats" and nothing. She wouldn't move. It's like she saw something that I couldn't or was trying to tell me something.
I felt bad leaving her - she seemed scared too!!
Is my cat a wacko? or maybe I am!!

Maybe there was a noise outside that was distracting her? Did she show any signs of illness at all>

Not to sound crazy here, but they say that animals can sense spirits way better than we can - maybe she just saw something or sensed something.

it was probably a spirit...brookie the sixth sense pup does it sometimes. i learned from my spirit encounter that you are supposed to acknowledge it..talk to the empty room. As simple as "Hello, thank you for checking us. We are fine."

Re: Pets acting strange...What do you think it is? LONG
I keep telling my DH that there must be spirits...ok I say something more along the lines of the house must be haunted because the cat is either running away from something scared to death or chasing something.
He thinks I'm nuts...he thinks that she hears mice or something in the walls or attic (I know we have field mice in our attic - yuck so he's probably right)
