Post-preg body

I gave birth to my son 11 weeks ago and I HATE my post-preg body. I was tiny before I got pregnant, but I ended up gaining close to 70lbs during my pregnancy. Chat Icon I've lost just over 45 lbs so far, but my stomach still looks like I'm pregnant. It's awful. How long before you started to look like yourself again?

Also, I had a c-section. Any difference for c-section moms?

I had a c-section - I still have a little pouch right where the scar is. Otherwise I am back to my pre-prego body - I gained about 35 pounds.

Give yourself more time - You'll be back to it in no time. Chat Icon

Re: Post-preg body

I gained 30 pounds, and I had a c-section as well. DD will be 7 months old this weekend, and to date I've lost all but 6 pounds. At 11 weeks pp, I don't think I'd yet lost any more than the original 18 that came off the first week. The rest hung around for a while and came off slowly.

My body is definitely 'different' though -- and there seems to be a bit more still around my belly/waist area.

It all takes time. Remember, it didn't take you 11 weeks to gain the 70 lbs- but rather 9 months.... so be it said "9 months up and 9 months down" . Hang in there, you will be looking and feeling good again adventually. Mild exercise and a good diet will help move it along!

Re: Post-preg body

Awww....I feel your pain. I have been there and I just want to give you a big Chat Icon .

I gained 50 pounds with my pregnancy and I can honestly say that the weight came off in about 7-8 months. Since then, I'm down another 10 pounds. I exercise 3-4 times a week...a ton of cardio and weight training. I was very muscular and active in the gym before I got pregnant...I think that helped too.

Don't worry...it's 11 months later and I feel back to myself again. It seems like forever but everything will shrink....now if I can just pop my bellybutton back in...Chat Icon

I had a c-section too. Nursing really helped me get back in my jeans. It takes a while though and I still have more to go.
