Should I just let it go?

I went for an interview at a company I really really liked , 2 weeks ago. It went really well, the director even asked me if I had any planned time off coming up, she said she thought I'd make a great addition to the team, that she was glad her day started on a positive note...so of course I sent a thank you. Then I called 1 week later to follow up since she said she needed to fill the spot quickly. Now it is 2 weeks. I don't want to be a pest. Am I kidding myself here - I guess they would have called me already right? Should I do another follow up call? Chat Icon

It's a bad time of the year right now w/folks on vacation and out of the office. I would honestly wait until after the holiday and follow up next Monday.

You probably have nothing to lose if you call one more time. If nothing happens or they say they need to get back to you I would just let it go.

I would follow up....she could be out of the office on vacation...it could be she needs to get approval from higher-ups as with any company, there's lots that go on with getting a new person on board.

It show's persistance if you follow up...and that's usually a good quality in a perspective employee. Good luck!

I agree. Although you are really excited about the position, constant calling may seem a bit naggy. You don't want to give the wrong impression.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Is this for a school position?

Personally, I would call again. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

Nope, haven't had much luck with that. It's for an HR position.

And one more thing....a week later I saw a posting for an HR Manager (I interviewed for an HR Rep) - so I am wondering if they are recruiting for both and a Mgr spot may be a priority - but still..I would love to know! Chat Icon Or...my other thought is..maybe they dropped the Rep position and changed the specs to a Mgr. Chat Icon
