Speaking of carseats...

For those of you who don't have the Britax -- what car seats do you have? We really want the Britax but my SIL is telling me it's overpriced. I think it's worth it -- but really don't know much about the other options.

Re: Speaking of carseats...

We have a britax that we use most of the time but we alos purchased a graco comfortsport for about $80.00. It was rated similar to the evenflo triumph but the triumph is huge. There are many carseats that are reasonably priced and safe just check the consumer reports before going to the store.

We have the Evenflo Triumph. At the time we were buying it was just as highly rated for safety as the Britax, but more in our price point. I haven't looked at the ratings in over a year, so maybe that's changed.

Same for us. I checked the reviews 5 months ago when we got it for Nate and they were still highly rated.

I have the Eddie Bauer convertible 3 in 1 car seat. I like it. It is also high priced - it was not that much lower than the Britax. I liked the style/patterns better than the Britax. I have heard people complain that the buckle is confusing or annoying but I have no problems with it.

We also got the Evenflo Triumph as our 2nd car seat because we could not afford to get two Marathons. At the time I got it, it was rated the same or very close to the Marathon.

Re: Speaking of carseats...

I had a Graco snugride as an infant seat.
Now we have a Britax Marathan in our Pilot and a Britax Roundabout in our Accord. The Marathan is a big seat so depending on the size of your car it may or may not work well.
I used a coupon and was happy to send the money on it. This is just something I felt was worth every penny.

The Graco comfortsport is a newborn/toddler...so does that mean he can use it now.... either way he makes the height requirments...
