We SOLD our house!
 Finally
I can't say what a relief it is to know my house in NY is finally SOLD. It was such a long process with many speed bumps in the way. It was put on the market back in late April. Do to some issues with my first listing agent, we ended up having to take it off the market for 2 months which wasn't any fun, because it just delayed the sale of the home and then finally we re-listed with someone else and in 2 weeks he had it Sold for us. I am so thankful! The inspection was done, contracts are all signed, and the apprasial was already completed. Now we just wait to hear when the closing will be. DH and I hope that Dec is our last mortgage payment on that house, we have been paying two mortgages for a few months now, because we own our new home now here in Texas. All I can say is that, "it is much easier to be the buyer, rather than the seller of a home". What stress and aggrevation....
We just look forward to getting the check for the profit we made.

Congrats!
While I didn't have the distance (or the impending baby) we've been in a similar situation with two houses so I know what a relief it is. People literally have no idea what it's like to take on two mortgages to float two properties and usually a HELOC as a down payment from the first to the second. Our first buyer (FSBO) fell through but ours was sold in one day with an agent
I can relate as to how stressful it is. Now go have some sparkling cider

Isn't it a relief!?!?
we were in the same exact situation..sold our house in NY just this week- while paying a new home in Florida for months..
all this with baby on the way too makes it even more rough, I know!
PS- we also had to change realtors to get it sold

i'm in the same boat ...paying 2 mortgages and a HELOC....awaiting to hear the the closing date.... so i can only pay one mortgage.
