Re: working moms, a question for you!

I think this is a very personal decision that you really have to make. Only you know what is best for you and your family.

With that said, I would quit. I would give my right arm to stay at home with my daughter right now so without hesitation I say quit. If you are not happy and it is a dangerous situation why not be at home with your family. It sounds like you have a ton of SAHM friends so with play dates and stuff like that you won't go out of your mind being at home all day.

Again it is a personal decision and I am sure a tough choice. Good luck.

Re: working moms, a question for you!

like the PP said, it's a very personal decision. Personally, I could never quit. I need to work, I need the diversion and interaction. And even though it's a killer sometimes, I love it. I love what I do and I love feeling needed outside of the family thing.

But again, that's personal. You sound like you like what you do BUT the situation you are in is not for you...maybe working at a home practice will give you the best of both worlds?

I also agree that it's a personal decision for you. However since you said you feel it's become unsafe, I would say your safety is of the utmost importance. It's nice to have insurance paid for, but not worth the possibility of getting hurt during a takedown.

eta. I would look into the possiblity of other opportunities, whether it's working in a school or anywhere else.

You are a nurse right? There is so much nurses can do have you considered going for your PA license(is that the right word?) I know they are making tons of $$ right now. I think the private practice is a great thing and if you don't need your job...why do it? You do have a baby though so if you are going to work from home you may need some in-home child care. Good luck!
