Gift for a second wedding?
We are going to a wedding this weekend and it is a second marriage for both the bride and groom. They are in the late 50's/early 60's and live in a beautiful home. They really have all they need.
The wedding is at the Venetian Yacht Club (formerly John Anthony's) and it is a whole to do. She even had a shower last weekend (got her a gift certificate for a day at the spa).
Is it tacky to give them money as a wedding gift? Any other ideas?

DH and I were both married previously and honestly had everything we needed.... except maybe the cash to do some home improvements. So I think $$ is fine, or a gift card for someplace you know they would use it. Those are the gifts we appreciated the most. Although we did register and got lots off the registry too....

I'm going to my uncles 2nd wedding in 2 weeks also and wasn't sure of what to give them...I guess money would eb the best idea.

I guess money wouldn't hurt. For some reason I feel weird giving it to them. They moved into brand new home last year so they wouldn't need it for that. I guess everyone could use money no matter what.

$$ is always good....or maybe a gift certificate to a high end restuarant....or a couples massage at a nice spa

we got a weekend stay at a B&B upstate (Onteora, i think it was called, it used to be Hellman's (as in the mayonaise (sp?) people) home).
We weren't married for a 2nd time (no relevance there) but we did really enjoy the gift and the weekend up there. Its close to Woodstock to give you an idea. Since our schedules are out of sync often, it gave me an opportunity to tell DH that he WILL be off a certain weekend so we could use the present 
Just for another idea that they may enjoy..

Are they going on a HM? Maybe you can find out who their travel agent is and purchase a GC for an activity or something for them to do on their HM instead!

Maybe a GC to a nice BB&B for when they want to go on a little getaway??
I also think the wine of the month club is a nice idea!! they will be thinking of you all year round!
