My DH made me so happy tonight-Sort of long

Me and my DH got married 2 months ago and due to some possible fertility issues on my part, we have decided to TTC starting after i get my period this month. Well, we had orginally decided to wait atleast a year so we could travel, and just enjoy each other before becoming parents. However, life never goes as planned and we both decided this is now the right time to TTC. I have always wanted a baby so i of course was not happy with possible issues arising, but very happy that we were going to start. Unfortunately while my DH really wants children, and is the best support and totally agreed that we need to start trying right away, i sort of felt like in the back of my mind that he wasnt ready for this yet. I even said to him that we could wait until next year and the just deal with whatever comes, but he said no way, i'm OK with trying now, i would rather have a child sooner then go through years of trying and nothing. It has really been bothering me b/c i really didnt want to go into being parents when one of us was probably not ready. and i knew he woudl never admit it to me b/c he knows how bad i want one. So i went away this weekend to visit a friend at the shore, and my poor DH was sick so he stayed in and watched TV. so i come home today and over dinner, tells me that he was watching a women give birth last night and that when the baby was born, he started to get misty eyed and realized how much he really wanted a baby now! He said he cant wait to be in the room with me and hold our baby! One never goes into marriage thinking that they may have a difficult time being pregnanat and i am soo happy that he came to the realization ON HIS OWN, that this really is the rgiht time for us, i feel like now we can start and that just maybe with enough love it will happen for us soon. Sorry its sort of long but i just wanted to share with others, baby dust to all!!

thanks missy LOL i never thought i would be posting my personal stuff on a website, but we are not telling anyone that we are starting so i cant talk with friends or family :)

we're not talking either! All I've heard for the past 9 months has been "when are you guys going to start a family?" UGH!

I worry about my age, and just hope it doesn't hold it against me!

I think you'll be fine :) i wish you tons adn tons of babydust!! DH mom got pregnant with him at age 38 and they told her she would never have children! She adopted his two older borthers before that. My old gyn is 35 and she just got pregnant too, i feel like its very normal b/c so many women want to have a carreer and tend to wait a little longer to get married nowadays.

You are a lucky woman!

It is a wonderful feeling when our DH's show signs that they are ready for fatherhood. Every once in a while, when my DH does or says something in preparation for our future family, it becomes so much more real. Right now, we are trying to think about where to put his computer as his "office" is the future baby's room!

What a great DH you have! Sometimes when we're out shopping, FH will see something for a baby and he gets this look on his face that just melts my heart. It's the look that says he's ready to be a daddy.

aww , congratulations!! how far along are you?
i think that most women really could handle having a baby at any time even if the conditions are not the most convenient or favorable. Men tend to need to be slowly eased into things like this. even my DH close freind, their baby is now 8 months old and i still think he is not ready, he loves his child, but he still tries to hang tight to his past life of being single without a child, and i feel sort of and for his wife, b/c she had fertiltiy problems and it took them 3 years and 5 m/c to have their beautiful boy

oh i am sorry, i thought when you mentioned getting the room in order, you meant you were...thats ok we have also started re-arranging stuff just incase :)
