Love-Hate relationship w/the Monitor?
Anybody else have a Love-Hate relationship with their baby monitor?
How did our parents manage without them!?!
My DH hates it (b/c I don't sleep well with it on) and thinks I should get rid of it. His theory is that if the baby is crying or in distress, I'll hear her w/o the monitor. The sad part is I get more nervous when I don't hear anything from her.

We used to have the same thing. I would wake up & check. He would wake up in the middle of the night, reach over me to check (waking me up).
Remind him that he'll have the whole house montiored when she's 16 & her boyfriend is over.
