Those of you with the Peg Perego Venezia....

do you have to get the Villagio car seat? did anyone else get a different one?

I have the venezia but haven't used it yet. I didn't get the villagio...instead I got the graco snug ride because ir rated much better. I also have the snap n go stroller to put the car seat in.....the venezia was way to heavy for me to use as a combo.

I have the Peg Perego Venezia and got a different car seat, I got a Graco Snug Ride Car Seat(Central Park). Same reason as PP.


I also used the snap n go while he was still in the car seat.
Sometimes I used/brought along the Venezia instead if I wanted to lay him down flat to sleep or be sure I would have a place to change him.

Edited: to answer your question, if you want the car seat to lock into the latches in the stroller then yes you have to get a peg car seat, the stroller is not compatible with other car seats. But others do fit inside the body of the carriage they are just not locked. I used it this way if it was just the baby and I in the kitchen etc. But I mostly used the Graco car seat with the Snap n Go... hope I answered your question

I'm like the other ladies -- I bought a Graco Snug Ride car seat. I never used them as a travel system. I used the Venezia in the beginning as a carriage where Andrew could lay flat and sleep. And I carried the car seat to and from the car without a stroller.

Looking back, I wish I had purchased one of those universal stroller thingies where you can just put any car seat into it and go. But I still would have bought the Venezia because I love it...
