Re: Dry Clean Only Comforters
they might shrink up in some places and stretch out in others....in other words....you might ruin it!

Re: Dry Clean Only Comforters
k i tried this.... it was my old one but still fairly new... i was getting it ready for a guest bed....well now i know why its dry clean only..... my machine is huge...and the blanket with all of its stuffing.........well the machine just couldnt drain all the water out, i opened my machine and had puddles all around me.... tried draining it out eventually got it into my dryer.... badddddddddd move.... it took 2 days to dry... but the white portion under the blanket... had yellow spots on it....but the top of the blanket was great.... with all that frustration i went thru....i'll never do it again....if its dry clean i will dry clean....

Re: Dry Clean Only Comforters
How much would it cost to get it dry cleaned? I have a Queen. Does it come out fluffly?
I was thinking of trying one of those dry cleaning things at home. Has any one tried with a comforter? Does it come out fluffy?

I had a queen sized comforter and my dry cleaner quoted me $30-35 to get it done. I haven't had it done yet though.
I don't think mine would fit in a dry-ell home dry cleaning bag.

Re: Dry Clean Only Comforters
Mine actually said I could wash it at home and followed the directions. My washer and dryer are large and it took a few hours to dry and it ended up ripping in the corner. It isnt as fluffy anymore and I do not plan on doing that again. My friend actually takes her comforter off and uses the blanket under neath and I think I will be doing the same with the next one we buy.
