1 hour glucose test..updated
apparently my sugar level was high...the nurse told me that the machine sometimes gives really high results even when your sugar isn't high, but mine was 210!!! I have to call tomorrow for the more accurate results..I am sure I will fail and have to take the 3 hour...this really *****....
well i got the more accurate results from my one hour...my nuber was 171...
I have to go tomorrow for the threee hour at 8:00 a.m. So I guess I have to stop eating by 6:00 tonight?

I failed my 1 hour with both pregnancies - and had to do the 3 hour. It's not so bad - I just brought a book with me & felt a little like a pin cushion afterwards.
Here are some  for your 3 hours to come back with perfect sugar!

I failed my 1 hr and passed the 3 hr. Try fasting for the 1 hr even though they say you don't have to

I failed the 1 with my son 176, but passed the 3 hour. This pregnancy I failed the 1 hour 206 and I also failed the 3 hour. We tried diet control (low carbs, I can't excerise becasue I'm on bedrest) , but my night and fasting sugars remained high! I started Insulin on Christmas :( My MD believes the lack of excercise is HUGE contributing factor.

i just don't get it...don't they check for sugar in your urine at every appointment...it never came up positive then...

I never have/had sugar in my urine and I have GD. Try not to worry about it, most women who fail the 1 hour pass the 3 hour.

I had to wait twelve hours.. jut to be safe If my appointment was at 8, I stopped eating around 7-715 latest.. Hopefully everything will be fine!

you can drink as much water as you want (to get through the night and morning, until you actually get to the test. Different Dr.s/ labs have different rules about drinking water when you are taking the test. Many will not let you drink water once you have drank the glucose drink because it may dilute the sugar levels.. HTH!!
