My DH REFUSED to ever take me to Jamaica for the same reason! He's been there twice, both times the relationships ended as soon as they came home. We've been together 7 years and although he talks about us going there now, I don't think he really wants to tempt fate.

last nite i mentioned something to my bf how we need to go to a baseball game when the season starts..and hes like im sorry but i cant take u to shea stadium.. im like why not? lol (hes a met fan) so he goes on to tell me that every time he dated a girl and they went to shea that literally the next date they broke up!!!!! so im like no way r u serious--and he said this happened 4 times!! and im like how is that possible? and he said 9 innings gives u a lot of time to contemplate life!!!! 
then he said he aint risking it by taking me there.. I didnt even look at shea on the drive home LOL LOL
The poor guy probably doesn't even want to DRIVE by Shea with you in the car.
Are you at the point yet when you could jokingly say, "OK, then take me on our first wedding anniversary?"
