I dont wanna know anything!
Does anyone else not want to read books, watch tv shows or talk about the experience with others about giving birth?? I started to read a book last night about the last trimester and giving birth and I almost passed out. Of course I know the basics of it but everything they were describing was making me so sick. I think I am better off just not reading anything about it at all. I want to know whats going on but I am so nervous about actually having the baby that I think I am better off not focusing on all these things. Is anyone else like this??

Re: I dont wanna know anything!
I bought soooo many books, I was so excited to read and I thought it would CALM my bervous - well they are all packed away right now, I will experience one thing at a time without wondering when this is coming and when that is coming, you catch my drift. My mind can't handle that right now! You are SO not alone!

Re: I dont wanna know anything!
I am the type of person who needs to know exactly what is going to happen, therefore I am always reading and informing myself. But, I must admit as my pregnancy is progressing, I regret reading certain things. Now, I try to take a quick glance at an article or even a post here on LIF to see if it will upset me in any way, if I see something that is TMI...I just don't read anymore.

I read only what pertained to my week or month. I didn't really read ahead until I was in my 8th month.

me too.
I did read the Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy up until and including the labor part. I found it comforting to know that every single fear I had was so common, it was written about in a book. I also found it to be pretty funny.
Other than that, I really don't want to read anything else and am now starting to think about books about what to do with a newborn. Someone just recommended the Baby Whisperer to me.
