Just watching the news....
saw the Amber Alert report......
and i am PI$$ED!
1. This happened at the PA - at FOUR O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON!! you mean to tell me NOT ONE person thought to RUN AFTER this guy in the van - or FOLLOW his vehicle!!!????
It's MIDTOWN - in the middle of RUSH HOUR traffic!! How FAR could he have gotten - and how FAST could he have possibly been going in the middle of all that traffic!!??????
2. WHY did it take FIVE HOURS for them to issue the Amber Alert for this little girl!!????

Hmm, let's see
1. People suck and don't pay attention if it doesn't benefit them
and
2. No idea why it took so long to issue the Amber Alert...but its very, very disturbing.
May God be with that little girl and bring her home safely

it took hrs to report it b/c no1 was even sure who this girl was or if she knew the guy and if they were arguing..obviouslyl pple cared enuff b/c they thought it seemed odd and they wrote the license plate down and the make and model of the car...no child at all was reported missing so they had no idea if she was being abducted or not..mind u she is not a 'child" she is between 13-15 which to me when u say child im thinking a 3 yr old

excuse me, but to ME a 13 year old IS a child!! and MANY people witnessed what happened and TOLD the police that it was a VERY violent exchange between the grown man (all 6'4 220lbs of him) and this child!!

Didn't I hear on the news that it was not infact a child but a 42 year old woman who people mistook for a child? I watch the news as I get ready so I dont always pay 100% attention but i thought I heard that this morning?   Anyone else hear that or am I going nuts?

Amber Alert Canceled, Woman Found
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City police say the teenager who was the focus of an Amber Alert last night turned out to be a
42-year-old woman.
The alert was issued after a teenage girl was reported missing from midtown Manhattan. A description said the teen was between 13 and 15 years old.
Police say she was taken in a car by a 39-year-old man.
Police say the teenager was actually 42 years old. She was found in the East New York section of Brooklyn last night. She was unharmed.
Police say the woman is helping them in the investigation. Authorities still want to question the man about the incident.
WINS AUDIO: Al Jones Reports
He is described as 39 years old, six foot, four inches and about 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and pants.

I know! It turned out to be something though because the woman is cooperating with investigators in order to find the guy. So the poeple that reported it, turned out to be a good thing regardless of an Amber Alert or not...

but this thread (which i posted last night) was based solely on the news report I watched last night.
