first sonogram today UPDATED
going this afternoon, but have to go by myself, DH went back to work. this isn't the way i had imagined it.

I was by myself at the first one too. DH travels alot and it was right when we first found out (a surprise). My dr. wanted to do one right away to see how far along I was. It turned out to be 9 weeks. Sorry to hi-jack.
It wasn't that bad being alone. I do wish DH was there, but he came to the Level 2. It was so exciting to see the little bean!! Enjoy!! Don't be sad. You'll get great pictures hopefully.

Good luck and keep us updated!!! Does he work nights? You go to Dr. hanauer right? Can you go for one of her later night appts. I used to go for the last appt so my DH could come (I actually had to make them late because I work in Manhattan).

DH is a merchant mariner, he ships out ofr 3 weeks at a time. We had an appt. last week, but it got cancelled and postponed til today and he left tuesday.

i got to see my little one yesterday, it was so amazing. he waskicking his feet and his heart was pumping away.

I went by myself for all of my appoints, except for my Level II.
TTYTT, it didn't really bother me that he couldn't get to the regular appointments. it would have been more of a hassel. I did ask for the doctor to print out a picture, and that was enough for DH.
ETS: I just saw that you posted an update. that's great! It's so fun to see our little ones
