So-called "friend"
I really don't want to be a drama-poster...but here goes...
I have a guy friend...who actually set my DH & I up...who has not yet seen Jared. He used to hang out with me all the time before I got pregnant. Then, when I was pregnant...he was sort of disappointed...he told us we were "babies having babies".
 Oh boy...First of all, I'm almost 29 and Dh is 29.
He made plans to come over yesterday and said that he'd like to see Jared before he goes to college (ha ha) but then called and said..."oh I totally forgot, I told my friend I would help him unpack". Weird...
Okay...I said...He goes...We'll meet tomorrow.
Fine.
I call him today and he says that he has to drive his friend to the hospital because he "might" get knocked out for something...
Geez...why do I bother...

OK this line in particular nearly made me LOL ... "MIGHT" get knocked out for something ...

Gosh Stefanie, its just obvious this friend of yours is still a boy who doesn't want to grow up ...NOR hang out with those of you who HAVE already grown up
its sad and unfortunate, but what can ya do  its amazing how friendships can change when friends are at differnet stages of their lives, huh ?

No no...Jared MIGHT get a full diaper, and then we'd have to clean it up...it may take awhile..he ate peas today, so you never know

Maybe "knocked" out like anesthesia knocked out??
FIRST I thought your friend meant "ok if my friend gets knocked out (i.e in a fight) then I may have to take him to the hospital"

Maybe, to him, having a baby means you're "grown up" and he's not ready to face being an adult??
You've tried many times to make contact, so I wouldn't put myself out there anymore. It's too bad since he was a good friend.....

I think I would go with
" Well Jared is scared of the sun so we cant do it during the day b/c he will cry ... but then as soon as the sun goes down he goes to be so thats no good either.... hmmm maybe that college thing would be good! well take you up on it! See you in 18 years!
