Helping some friends out....discount travel websites?
anyone? they are planning their honeymoon and their "requirements" are:
peaceful/quiet
no pressure to participate in activities
beach
warm (they are marrying beginning of April)
hotel, not a cottage or an individual house
relatively inexpensive
they mentioned Key West but felt it might be expensive.

There is Hawk's Cay in Key West and it is realtively inexpensive. They can hang out by the pool or swim with the dolphins.

no problem. I have a friend that went there every year with her family at Thanksgiving. then last year my BIL & SIL went and loved it. It has a small beach (bay), sailing, fishing, diving, etc ... look at the map of the place, it's pretty big.

Check out Sanibel Island in Florida - it's very romantic.
You fly right into Ft Myers airport.

Check out Sanibel Island in Florida - it's very romantic.
You fly right into Ft Myers airport.
Have they rebuilt yet? Last I heard there was still a ton of hotels with windows knocked out and air conditioners hanging from thier cords and such.
That had to have been back in Julyish though

OOh good, maybe I will take a drive there tomrrow and stay for the weekend. We have been avoiding going because we heard it was not back to its touristy health

oh I love sanibel island.
I went there, and Anna Maria Island, and Longboat key(I spent a lot of my florida summers being a nannie)
They were all great trips.
which one is closest to St. Armen's circle? I think it is sanibel right? great restaurants.

St. Armond's circle is in Sarasota. The closest would be Sanibel which would be about 1.5 hours away.
Some hotels are still under construction. my FIL was down in August and I was able to find 2 hotels that were available and they were over $150 a night.
Season is low now so it may be cheaper.
I havent gone to Sanibel recently but hubby works in Fort Myers airport.
