When DH and I were actively looking, we drove past a gorgeous house and asked the realtor about it. she said that it has fire damage and buyers won’t touch it.

The best kind of buyer for this house is someone that will knock it down and re-build from scratch. Once a home’s foundation has damage, you’re asking for a money pit! Good luck insuring it too.
If this house did have significant fire damage, the owner should forget about the pics of the house and focus on the land it sits on.
