Dh's cousin had a 31 weeker earlier this week

Mom is home but naturally her little girl isn't but luckily she is weighing in @ 4lbs 5oz so she has that on side.

I know in about 8 days its going to hit her real hard when the post partum high is somewhat gone and she doesn't have her little girl to hold and cuddle with at her home.

What can I send?

Her shower is this weekend also.. I know she'll probably hear some stupid comments from the family...

what about a camera and an album for her to take pics while the baby stays in the hosital. maybe a gc to a place to have the film developed...

maybe something she can pamper herself with??

It is really hard to leave the hospital with out your baby. Hayley was there an extra 5 days after I came home.

Do they live near you? If so, maybe you can bring them some meals that they can just heat up quick. I know that would have been great for us because we were going up to the hospital 3 times a day and eating a ton of fast food.

Wow, they are still having the shower! I think that is slightly insensitive
The same thing happened to my coworker. SHe had her little girl a few weeks early (the week before the shower too!). They cancelled the shower since the baby was in NICU. When the little girl was healthy enough to be in public (about a month or so) they had a party with the little gust of honor there! It was really nice since we all got to see the bundle of joy
