If you had an e-party and your parents paid for it...POLL
Whether it was a casual backyard party or formal party. What did FH's parents give you as a gift?
Trying to help out a friend. Thanks in advance!

To be honest, I don't really remember. I "think" they gave us a couple hundred dollars- I'm pretty sure under $500.
ETS- we had a backyard bbq, but with tent and heater rentals it probably cost as much as a restaurant would have. I think somewhere in the $3000 range.

They told us they're paying for the church....because they demanded we get married in it.
Church - $700, not including pre-cana. We're paying for that.

My ILs gave us a bunch of stuff off of our registry- a lot of the little knick knack stuff (that would usually be for a wishing well) and a few of the larger items. Definetly under $500

for our e-party my IL's did nothing to help us, and they gave us a gift but it doesnt stand out in my head what they gave so it must have not been anything great.

My FIL gave us $1000 for our e-party.And he added a zero on the end of that for our wedding. Gosh I love that man!!
ETA- both were totally unexpected!! But DH was his first and probably only child to get married so he was excited!!

my parents paid. it was pretty formal. dh's parents did not give a gift.

MY FIL gave us 1K. My parents paid for the E-party, which ran about 4K.

My in-laws got us 4 place settings & the hostess set of our silver which we did not register for but they got silver for both of their daughters & wanted to do the same for their son. My MIL picked out exactly the one I would have had I registered for it. We got another 8 settings for a total of service for 12 for Christmas the same year.
