Does anyone know what...
...it means to have a long Luteal phase ? I am going to ask my doctor next time I go but in the meantime I wondered if any of you knew this. It seems that I ovulate on time but after I ovulate it takes longer than 14 days to get my period. In fact, I seem to get stuck in a PMS state longer than I shoud. My boobs get sore, I get skin breakouts, bloating, irritability- all much longer than the week before my period. Could it be because I'm "stuck" in the Luteal phase longer than I should be? What would cause this?

Normal luteal phases can be up to 16 or 17 days long. Your dr could test your hormones I would assume(estrogen and pregesterone and make sure everything is ok I guess. I don't know a lot about that-I have the opposite problem!

Yes I am going to mention it the next time I go! I feel like I am in a constant state of PMS!
