What is a partial basement???

Usually means that part of the foundation is a slab and part of it is a basement. Unless you mean 'partially finished" then that sometimes means only part of the basement has been finished off and made into a family room or BR or whatever.

The house I just moved out of had a crawlspace basement. Basically what it is is an underground area that you literally have to crawl in to get inside of. It's not intended for storage, just plumbing and such.
The house I just moved into is a partial basement. It's just smaller than a regular basement because the other half of the house is on a concrete slab.

We have a partial basement. We have a basement, but it isn't the length of the house. Half is a basement and the other half is a crawl space.

My house has a partial basement also. My house is a split, so the basement is only inder the main part of the house. The "split" portion is on a slab.
