Would it be illegal...
to creat a law stating elderly people can not drive between the hours of 7 am and 9:30 am?? I love old people, have a bunch myself that are dear to my heart, but at that hour, I am trying to get to work and getting stuck behind someone doing 20 in a 30 zone just really bugs me, they have all day to go!!!!

lol, don't think they'll ever happen... but I do feel people over a certain age (say 65?), they should require to take the road test again....

Too bad you all never met my grandma (RIP). At 79 she got speeding tickets And I think she had to restrain herself not to put the officer over her knee for writing up the ticket.

Some states do this. Not sure what the age is, but I know that Illinois used to make people retest after a certain age. Then when you hit an even higher age it was every year.

You are probably driving behind my 4'5" grandmother who is on her way to church at 7am!
I do agree with you completely - there should def. be an age where people need to retake their drivers test.

I find it more annoying on the highway and will just wait until I can pass them. I actually find myself feeling sorry for the elderly and take my time. I hope when I get older and slow down a bit that others would understand.

my Grandmother who also SHOULD NOT be driving (she hasnt in over 4 mths because of her back) she went to DMV in 2004 to renew her license and it is renewed until 2011
she is 75 what are they thinking

I work with Alzheimer's people and it is frightening how many of them still drive (even after accidents). Loved one's are constantly asking how they can get the person to stop driving and basically it's up to the person to stop on their own. DMV should be testing every year after a certain age.
