Funny Incident with NYC Police Last Night -- Please read Disclaimer
This happened to me on my bus ride home last night. Now, as is this is a rant againt NYC cops, I want to point out before this thread turns into a debate and I get flamed, I want to point out that my dad was in law enforcement and I have a great respect for the police and what they do. So for any of that may:
-- be a cop
-- have a relative or DH who is a cop
-- cheat on your DH with a cop
-- have slept with a cop in college
-- dress up as a cop on Halloween
-- was a cop in a former life
-- have a DH who likes to role play and play traffic cop
Please know that I am merely recounting an isolated incident and am not bashing the cops as a whole.
That being said, last night it took me 2 hours to get home. The 59th street bridge was jammed on both levels due to 2 separate accidents. The midtown tunnel was also backed up. 57th street was gridlock all the way from 6th avenue to the bridge. Now, you'd think there'd be a cop there directing traffic. We get to 57th and Lex and we see a cop car on the corner with a cop inside just sitting there. To cap it off, his partner emerges across the street and instead of directing traffic gives the cop in the car a cup of coffee. I had to laugh. NY's Finest at its finest!!!

FH is a NYC cop...this is why I love to hear funny stories about NYC cops...so that I can tease him about how tough they have it.
