Hmmm well --- the cruise was great. It rained almost the whole trip. And we were definitely among the YOUNGER minority. But we had a great time.
If you are interested in going to Alaska, I can recommend the best day excusions (2 we did, 1 we didn't) - the highlight being our helicopter ride in Juneau. It was so amazing, and we landed on the glaciers...just wonderful!!
The Princess Dawn - did not have a lot of activities going on, to be honest. As I said, the clientel tended to be much older so I think that may be why they don't have so many activities. And there was not very much communication on board - Ex. we had REALLY rough seas one day & night. They never communicated that this was coming so people could prepare ahead of time and take dramamine. Fortunately DH had a marine radio so we had sea bands on early enough not to get sea sick. Or when we were supposed to have a naturalist on board at Glacier Bay, they didn't inform us that the talk would start an hour later than scheduled - things like this.
All in all we had a wonderful time - but I think it would have been better if:
1. The weather had cooperated
2. The other passengers were not geriatric - dining with folks who talk about their grandkids and their medications is not so fun - especially when you are TTC!!
3. We had chosen the dog sled/rapids tour
4. We had spent more time in Denali
We have over 1,000 pictures!! We have to go through and when I pick out the best I will post a few!

Glad you had a good time, Kara! I'm sorry the weather wasn't great, but it sounds like you made the best of it. I am looking forward to the pics!
