I did and now I am stuck with an awful high chair and awful bouncerChat Icon Chat Icon

Someone might buy it or chip in with others. Put whatever you really want on it and don't worry about how much it costsChat Icon

I agree...because someone got my glider and ottoman which was pretty costly....some people will go in together on things

I registered for what I really wanted. If they are too much money and nobody buys it for me then I'll buy it myself after the shower. I figured I'll ask for what I want and if I get it great...if not I'll still get itChat Icon

That is true. I wish I had the more expensive glider. The one I have is not very comfortable and not wide enough.

I did not put it on my registery at all and I bought the cheap one for myself.

This was exactly my thinking. I'm having a small shower (since we both have small families). I expect we will be picking up the cost of many things...but I registered for what I wanted anyway.

What kind of bouncy and highchair? This way we know to stay away from them. Thanks!Chat Icon

this is true! I registered for what I really wanted - and got everything I really NEEDED off my registry. You will be shocked at how much people spend and how generous they are! A lot of people chip in on one larger item also.

People are most generous when it comes to babies especially if it is your first!

I put 2 car seats on mine and got both (they were about $120 each).

Put what you really want on it and if no one gets it then you buy it yourself.

I would also recommend this. I put a less expensive travel system on my registry and although the seats are all pretty much the same the stroller was not the best! I wish I had registered for something more expensive and well made!

Also I wouldn't hve hesitated to put on a pack n play, britax car seat, etc. because you would be surprised at what people buy you!

I haven't started yet but dh and I had this discussion about the ottoman/glider. I think I will put it on my registry in hopes that maybe our parents will get it for us. If not, we can get it after.
