Those that failed the 1 hour Glucose test...
How many of you passed the 3 hour test? If you care to share, what was your sugar level at the 1 hour. Did you have any symptoms that would have indicated GD prior to testing?

I don't have an answer to your question, but wanted to sympathize; I failed my one hour last week, and am going in for the 3 hour tomorrow. Good luck to both of us!

if i remember correctly, my number for the 1 hour was 170. i failed the 3 hour and was diagnosed with GD.

if i remember correctly, my number for the 1 hour was 170. i failed the 3 hour and was diagnosed with GD.
Bummer - mine was 169. What's your treatment for GD been? I have a family history of diabetes and GD, so I'm not very optimistic (and shamrock, sorry to hijack!).

initially i was put on a diet. my numbers were so borderline but they decided to put me on insulin plus diet anyway. if it were only me, i would have refused the treatment. however, since i have a little one to think about i kind of had no choice as if something were to happen i could not live with the "if i only..."
from what i have read there has been skepticism and controversy within the medical community with both the testing and actual diagnosis of GD. but i decided to be safe rather than sorry...
hope you pass and don't have to deal with it! but regardless i would watch what you eat for the duration of your pregnancy

I passed the 3 hour. I do not know what my glucose level on the one hour was and according to my doctor, she had no reason to believe I had GD, just that many women fail the one hour, but pass the three hour.

i failed my one hour test, and passed my 3 hour test.i only failed the one hour test by one stinking point, im not sure what the exact number was. i didnt have any symptoms.

This is exactly what my doctor told me when I was taking the 1 hour. After I failed and had to take the 3 hour he said that I passed no problem. I have no idea what my numbers were for either test.

I was in the 170's when I was preggo for the 1 hour. I failed the 3 hour - I think I failed all but one part of the 3 hour. I had GD. My GD was regulated by strict diet which I hated every minute of.
I showed no signs of GD prior to finding out. My nutritionalist actually said my regular diet, my previous weight, my preggo weight gain and lifestyle was not something typical of someone with GD. She was surprised I was doing so much and it hadn't effected me (I never had extreme exhaustion - and based on my numbers she thought I should have had that). The only thing that may have been a warnign signs was my morning sickness/all day queasiness went well into my 2nd trimester and continued on and off throughout 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
On another note - I know soooo many people who failed the 1 hour and I am the only one I know personally who had GD.
My advice - don't sweat it until you get the 3 hour results!

I failed the one-hour with 155. I'm still waiting for my results from the three-hour (took it on Saturday).

I failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour. I dont remember the numbers from my one hor but I know I was just barely over the cutoff. Good luck!

I failed my 1 hour with both pregnancies & then passed the 3 hour both times. No symptoms. I suspect it was a slow metabolism.

I didnt have any symptoms. I passed the 3 hr after failing the 1 hr.
