UV gel on own nails?
Anyone ever get this done. I get manicures once a week and the polish chips so fast sometimes the very next day. I've tried many different base and top coats and nothing seems to work. I don't like really long nails so my nail lady suggested UV gel. Anyone have it?

I have never heard of this...what is it??? I have the same problem! I think the policsh sticks less when it's on natural nails.

I get it on my fake nails.., I like it alot..but I dont know how it would be on real nails ya kno..u dont wanna make them dull or brittle

I just got this done. My own nails are actually pretty strong and grow fast my complaint is I got for a manicure every week and within a day and two I have chips everywhere. I am really careful at home and even use gloves to wash dishes and still get chips. I told the nail girl I want them thin and to look natural she did just that. She said it might not last a full 2 weeks since they usually do it thicker. Right now they look really nice so I guess I'll just have to wait and see if they last.

I had it, and didn't really like it. It grows out just as fast as acrylic, and is even more damaging. You can't take it off with acetone, you have to sand it off with a nail file. Underneath, my nails were really weak and thin, and that was only after having them on for a week.

Sure I will. She told me to come back next week if they start lifting for a glue touch-up. I have no idea what she is talking about but I told her I rather try it for 2 weeks and see if it is worth it.

u know what keeps the nail polish on may nails for the week with no chipping.... nailtiiques formula 3. i put a base and top coat. Then during the week i reapply a top coat. it works gr8
