We feel very confident about it and the cost is pratically nothing - considering what you get for it :)

We were debating this. What did you find out? What company are you using? CBR seems expensive to me.

We're using CBR - They were somewhat more expensive than Viacord but not by much. And most of our friends have used them and said they are great. and they have their own facility not located near earthquakes and tornados, etc.

whats the roundabout cost of this? DH and I just got somethign ni the mail for it this weekend but I have not started my research at all as of yet.

$1,700 initial storage fee and then $130 per year. And I belive $200 as a shipping cost from the hospital to the storage facility.

until, god forbid, you need and unfortunately, its a one time useage and does not work with the father's body. At 18 years of age, the contract you and DH signed becomes a responsibility of your "adult" child.

So, they could potentially store it for the hopefully 80 or so years that your child will live?

Does the cost ever increase, or is it fixed for 18 years?
