should I wait?- update

I have beta scheduled for Monday and I am tortured right now and I am supposed to go away for the weekend Friday. The MD at work said she would write a RX for me to have it done tomorrow (would be day 13 from ER). Should I do it?

UPDATE: I didnt do it. I had a BFN on the HPT yesterday so I just figured it would probably be negative anyway and I would just be upset and hope it was wrong. So I decided to wait. HPT again this morning 13dp ER and BFN again. We are going away for the weekend so I am going to try and stay busy. I have beta on Monday. I havent given up hope yet since I am not bleeding or spotting and last cycle I was spotting for 3-4 days at this point. But those stark white HPTs are not very reassuring.

ETA: I am an idiot and denial is so powerful. AS many times as I count the dates I can never get it right. Today is actually 14dp ER, 11dp 3dt, so I think its probably about time I start admitting that this BFN is true.

Oh gosh Pauline...I am not sure. I guess getting a beautiful bfp before this trip would make it extraordinary !!!!...

Pauline -- I think at 13 days you should be able to get the results. But do you want to? I am so hoping this is a BFP but I would HATE for you to be disappointed.....especially on your trip. But I know that I would not be able to wait, I would rather just deal with the news and get it over with.

So it depends on you. Where are you going? We'll be in Boston...

If it is negative (whether I beta or not) then AF will probably start over the weekend, so I would rather find out before I go. I am so up in the air. Cause I know even if it is negative I will wonder whether it was too soon and then probably not stop the PIO just in case and then still be in denial. AAAGGGHHH

Let me share something my acupuncturist told me yesterday.

He said he had a patient who had a IVF, and it was 10 days past her retrieval I believe. (maybe her transfer). She had a bfn on a hpt. She went to see Dr. Wu and he did his magic and ...when she went in for the beta at 14 day past, her beta was positive and a strong pregnancy.

Dr. Wu, told me that implantation is a process and it can occur truly up to to 13 dpo. Very often those embryos float around for days. He also is a believer in keeping the progesterone going until 13 dpo.

If it were me, I would go and find out...if it's positive then you know for sure, if it's negative you can still take the PIO and pray for AF to stay away for your definitive beta on Monday.

I dont know what I am going to do. I have the RX and I guess I will decide tomorrow. It will be 12dpo, I am just afraid of the possible false negative. I dont know... is that even possible at 12dpo?

Pauline - I would go away for the weekend without testing. For me, it would be a break from thinking about anything. I wouldn't even buy HPTs until I was late because I would have tortured myself with testing. I say, go away, relax and enjoy. Monday will come soon enough!

Its a very hard decision. Cornell usually tests 10 or 11 days after tx, but I am hpting starting at 5dpt...
