Book Club Ladies
You are going to kill me but I haven't even gotten the book club selection, yet alone started reading it I am so swamped this year, I don't know if I will make it

Barging in here...Garcia Marquez is dense stuff. I think the book you chose is worth sticking with, but it is not a quick read at all

I absolutely LOVED 100 Years of Solitude. I am enjoying this too, but I can see where others might find it hard to get through.
Do we want to change the date to the 30th??

I wouldnt be able to make it on the 30th - I had to switch with a co-worker for the 23rd - He would kill me if I asked to switch again

I can't get through it and as I told Kara, I am asst directing the middle school play at work and am just swamped right now. The production is Nov 17 so I will do my very very best to come to the next meeting. I miss you all and hope you have fun this month!
Kara, don't be embarassed by your pick BTW. You pick challenging books, which is a great thing -- we should all always be pushing ourselves

The pick for November is Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See.
Kara - I enjoyed the book, I finally finished it last night.  I just think the writing style makes it difficult to read.

I am determined to finish the book...its a thing I have...only book I never finished was Crime and Punishment and I almost died trying!!
Now I want to see if they end up together...
I'm sad I'm missing dinner tonight...will definitely be there next month! Have fun.
