cleaning wood floors
any ideas advice? i just tried vacuuming, and my vacuum is apparently not geared for wood floors...are there vacuums that are? or should i not be vacuuming them at all? '
What do you use to clean them?

Re: cleaning wood floors
I use great stuff - Pledge floor cleaner. You put some cleaner on the floor and use a damp sponge mop. It's so easy and the floors look beautiful!

This is what our floor guy told us to use also.
Skew: How much vinegar and water do you use? 50/50?

i put about 1/4 white vinegar, 3/4 warm water in a spray bottle, spray the floor and then mop it up. sometimes i use the spray bottle and a paper towel or cloth (on hands and knees).
if i am feeling lazy or just need to clean up quickly, i spray a wet swifter w/ vinegar and water and use the swifter "mop".
i LOVE my ORECK but they are $$$. they offer free yearly tune-ups (# depends on model) and a 30 day trial. i bought my at the store not on the internet.
