Another annoying VD question: Are you exchanging?

Not VD, of course. I mean gifts.

On principal I refuse to let DH spend all that money on roses but I know if I want anything else.

We usually don't, it just isn't our thing. The only reason we are exchanging small gifts this year is because it is our first married VD.

We do the same thing every year & we love it. We stay home (because I will not pay those jacked up prices) We (dh) makes Lobster tails and Steaks with Baked Potato and a veggie.

We exchange little things nothing expensive. I'm getting him a GC for his favorite massage place. He used to go all the time but since we bought the house he hardly goes so I know he will appreicate it.

Nope, we never do. We give each other gifts for no reason on other days, just because. More fun that way.

I am so glad to see I am not the only person who does not like getting roses for Valentine's Day. Not only are the prices jacked up, but I've always appreciated getting flowers when they are a surprise. We make a romantic dinner at home. We ususally take turns each year doing the cooking and surprising the other with the meal and set up.

I don't usually get flowers, but we usually get each other gifts. This year, they will be small ones, like books or DVDs.

no, not this year. We went crazy with Xmas gifts this year, so we are not exchanging.
Just going out to dinner

Nope. Actually we alternate years. One year it's "my" Valentine's Day to set-up and get him presents, and the next year it's his.

So I made reservations at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and I will get him somethine very small (heart boxers or a DVD) but nothing crazy.

we usually go away together....this year me and my SO are spending the weekend in the city...he is taking me to see phantom, and I am taking him for a couples massage :) I'm looking forward to it soooo much!!!

We usually exchange gifts, but nothing big. I told DH that we don't have to exchange this year, just get cards. We'll just go out to dinner the following weekend and celebrate. I also told him he doesn't have to buy me flowers on VD b/c it's so expensive and I'd prefer he surprise me with them on another day.

My husband buys me flowers a few days before hand. That way he doesn't pay double or triple the price.

This year I am buying him a cd that I know he wants. We never go over board!

This year we aren't...maybe a nice candlelit dinner at home (I like the lobster tail and steak idea) and definitely no flowers...DH knows I hate how they jack up the prices for V-Day

he will get me something. i dont get him anything.
he always gets me lingerie anyway, which is really for HIM
and i never like it anyway
