How do you block an unknown name/number?
Anyone know how to block these calls? They call me every night and when i answer, they hang up. I know its * something.

Do you have to do this right after they call? There is a number that we get almost daily...if I answer, it's a hangup. If I let the machine get it...it's a hangup....so annoying.

Verizon has an option when you sign up with them to block all anonymous numbers.

If you think it's a telemarketer, you can register your number in the "Do Not Call Registry". This registry will stay active for 5 years. After I register my home number, when my phone rings, I know it's either for my husband or for myself. At first we got a few calls but after you tell them your number is registered, they will not call you anymore.
