yet another post about feeding
Alysa is 7 weeks old. she is FF and has been taking about 3.5 oz for a week or two now. The last few days she cries when I take away the empty bottle and sucks on her fingers like crazy so we up'd her to 4 oz this AM. She seemed fine with that all day until the feeding we jujst did at 8:00. she cried and sucked at her fingers again. I gave her an extra .5 oz. I dont think up-ing her a full ounce over a days time is so good to do - too much at one time, no? what else could be wrong? is she STILL hungry?! teething at 7 weeks old? help! shes so upset

she could be in a growth spurt in which she will eat more and sleep more....then she'll taper off. If she's hungry, feed her!

This happened to Ava, she went from 3-4 oz in a matter of a week. Then I thought to myself, well, I don't eat the same amount every time I eat, so maybe she has times when she's more hungry. So now I put five ounces in her bottle, and let her take what she's going to take. She almost always takes the 4oz, but sometimes in the evening will take the whole 5. They are growing so rapidly at this point that I think it's normal.

Feed on demand!
Give her as much as she wants. My mother always yells at me when she finishes her bottle completely, she says "how do you know she didn't want more?"

No because babies self-regulate themselves. They won't eat too much. If you offer it to her, and she doesn't take it, then you know she's had enough
