Just found a great site- spay/neuter at low cost!
I was looking into neutering Fortune (Forty-his new nickname) and was shocked to learn that neutering costs upwards of $300-400!!!
I did a search and found a charity called Friends of Animals.
Basically, Vets participate part of a charity - to get dogs & cats sterilized.... and they benefit by developing community good will. I purchased a neuter certificate for $54.00!!!!

Yep! We've used that for every animal we've ever had (approaching 2 dozen at this point). it really saves a lot of $$ and most vets accept it!

aspca does it for free or very low cost too.
plus they have a free/low cost vaccination clinic.

We used a muffin's certificate to neuter Rocky.
