Trying to pack for Ny this weekend

I can't comprehend the weather- how cold is 55 degrees? Have you all been wearing jackets? I have almost no maternity clothes for cold weather since I live in LA and need to buy a jacket I think.

SO what is everyone wearing this time of year there? I haven't been there this time of year in 8 years!Chat Icon

Re: Trying to pack for Ny this weekend

I would pack long pants and maybe 3/4 sleeve shorts, light shirts and a light jacket. Although if you're coming from someplace warm you might want something a lil heavier. But I've been wearing light, 3/4 sleeve shirts and a light jacket.

This weekend is definitely supposed to be chilly. I would suggest bringing whatever long sleeve maternity stuff you've got. I never bought any kind of maternity jackets, I just wear whatever I have unzipped. You should probably invest in one sweater just so you have the otion- just pick up an inexpensive one from Motherhood or H&M.

you would probably be ok in a jean jacket or blazer type with a light scarf.

I know! I am so bummed. My mom said last Sunday was perfect and of course, this Sunday is my shower and its supposed to be cold.

Thanks for all the suggestions- I really have no concept of the weather being cold. Our winters get chilly but we only need a light jacket. I am happy to know that I can wear the ones I usually wear here.

I have not worn a "heavy" jacket yet. I have a light windbreaker type that I wear when it is in the lower 50's!

I am still wearing my capris, sandals & tank top right now. This weekend I will most likely be in jeans, tshirt & sandals!
